Who we are

10North ("we", "us") publishes an independent newsletter covering artificial intelligence in UK government. For the purposes of the UK GDPR we are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@10north.ai.

What we collect

When you sign up to our newsletter we collect your email address and the date and time you subscribed. We do not ask for your name, address, or any special category data.

Why we collect it and our lawful basis

We use your email address solely to send you the 10North newsletter and occasional related updates. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the signup form. You may withdraw that consent at any time.

How we store it

Subscriber emails are stored in a secure, access-controlled database hosted by our infrastructure provider. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to people who need it to operate the newsletter.

Sharing

We never sell or rent your email address. We share it only with the service providers that host our database and deliver our emails, who process it on our instructions under appropriate contractual safeguards.

Retention

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, after which it is removed from our active list within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@10north.ai. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Unsubscribing

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all future emails and removes your address from our list.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email.
